The project
Forming dedicated research spaces inside an existing building.
The project called for a new internal partition layout for the Better Origin research lab in Fulbourn. Metal stud walls and plasterboard were installed across the space during a focused two-week programme.
The scope
- Set out and form the research lab partition layout
- Install British Gypsum metal framing within the existing steel structure
- Create defined rooms, circulation routes, doorways and internal openings
- Fix plasterboard to the completed metal partition framework
Materials
British Gypsum metal partition components and plasterboard were used throughout the installation.
The result
The new lab rooms and work areas were formed and boarded within the two-week programme, leaving clearly defined spaces ready for the following finishing stages.
