The project
A coordinated upgrade to insulation, weather protection and kerb appeal.
The existing frontage was prepared for a new rendered finish while the entrance was transformed with a made-to-measure porch. Completing both elements together produced a neater, more cohesive elevation and a more sheltered approach to the front door.
The scope
- Prepare the existing front elevation for the new system
- Cut and fit wool-based render carrier and insulation boards
- Form clean details around windows, doors, corners and the lower elevation
- Apply the reinforced base layers and finished render coating
- Set out and construct a bespoke timber porch frame
- Form the pitched canopy and install roof tiles, fascia and supporting details
- Finish the porch and rendered frontage as one coordinated exterior scheme
- Leave the entrance and surrounding work area clean and ready for use
The result
The completed house has a crisp, consistent rendered finish and a characterful porch sized specifically for the entrance. The new canopy adds practical shelter while the insulated render build-up gives the frontage a substantial exterior upgrade.
